Cumberland Police Arrest Johnstown Pair

Cumberland City Police arrested a pair of Johnstown resident after a speeding stop on Interstate 68 early Sunday morning.

After the car was stopped for going 20 mph over the 40 mph limit, the officer noted the smell of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle.  The driver admitted they had smoked weed earlier in the night, and a search was conducted.

34 year old Latrice was charged with Concealed Carry of a Firearm and Transporting a Handgun in a vehicle.  She had a valid Pennsylvania permit that is not valid in Maryland, and was being held awaiting a bond hearing.

37 year old Travis Joseph Hill was charged with Driving While Suspended and later released.
