Cumberland Police Check Pedestrian Crossing Control System On Queen City Drive

After hearing a number of callers to WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” express concern with individuals routinely crossing  Queen City Drive at Baltimore Street- stepping in front of vehicles as they proceed through the intersection on a green light, Cumberland Police Chief Charles Hinnant looked into those complaints. Hinnant directed officers and the Street Department to check the pedestrian crossing control to insure it was synchronized with the traffic light- and also checked the timing control on the crossing to determine if it provided pedestrians adequate time to cross Queen City Drive before the light turned green for vehicles…
