Cumberland Police Make COVID-19 Adjustments

March 24th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Citizens are asked to limit any visits to the Cumberland Police Department to emergency issues or situations that are absolutely necessary.  Upon arrival, you will find the front doors locked. To the right of the doors, there is an intercom that will connect you with an officer or dispatch personnel. You will see signs posted at the entrance notifying you that if you are sick, you are not to enter Police Headquarters.  For those who do enter, screening questions may be asked by the officers or attendant.

Anyone planning to visit a Police Department for a safety equipment repair order verification you should delay that visit.  The state of the emergency declaration has suspended the due date of repair orders until 60 days after the state of emergency has been lifted.  Also, the Police Department is not doing any fingerprinting at this time.
