Cumberland Police Makes Several Arrests Monday

On Monday, May 6th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Park Street and Baltimore Street for a male creating a disturbance.  When the officer arrived, he observed a male screaming and yelling.  The male, identified as James Kenneth Florh Jr, was contacted by police earlier in the day for the same complaint.  At that time, he was advised by officers not to create anymore disturbances or he would be arrested.  Florh was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and fail to obey a lawful order.  He was issued criminal citations and released pending trial.

Arrest Warrant Served

On Monday, May 6th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Anthony Wayne Amoruso.  The warrant was issued by District Court in reference to an incident that took place back in March 17th, 2018 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in the Emergency Room.  At that time, Amoruso is alleged to have caused a number of disturbances disrupting patients and staff.  He was charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a lawful order.  Amoruso was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released on his own personal recognizance pending trial.

Violation of Probation

 

On Monday, May 6th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Morgan Paige Grubb for violation of probation.  The warrant was issued by District Court for failing to obey the conditions of her probation ordered by the court back on December 3rd, 2018, following a driving on a suspended license conviction.  She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released after posting a bond of $1,500.
