Cumberland Police Make Trespassing & Warrant Arrests

On March 16, 2017 at approximately 10:15 AM a Cumberland Police officer on patrol observed James Glenn Porter on Cumberland Housing Property at Fort Cumberland Homes.  It was learned Porter had previously been barred from the property.  The officer made contact with Porter and issued him a criminal citation for Trespassing.  He was released pending trial in District Court.

Arrested: 

James Glenn Porter, age:  39, Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Trespassing:  Private Property

Warrant Arrest

On March 16, 2017 the Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Joseph Wilson Butler for seven counts of Violation of a Protective Order, Harassment, and Telephone Misuse.  He was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bail.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next court appearance.

Arrested:

Joseph Wilson Butler, age:  57, Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Violate Exparte/Protective Order X7, Harass; A Course of Conduct, and Telephone Misuse:  Repeat Calls

Warrant Arrest

On March 16, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a Frederick County Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on Angelo Bernard Carlton.  Carlton failed to appear for court on March 15, 2017 in Frederick County on original charges of Driving a Motor Vehicle While License Suspended and Person Driving Motor Vehicle on Highway on Suspended License and Privilege.  He was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on a bond of $6500.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next court appearance.

Charges:  Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear

Warrant Arrest

On March 16, 2017 the Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Stephanie Renee Barb.  The warrant stemmed from an incident the Cumberland Police investigated on February 12, 2017.  In that incident, police responded to an indecent exposure complaint in the 100 block of Independence Street.  Witnesses were interviewed and learned Barb and a male subject had engaged in sexual activity in a wooded area behind a residence and could be seen by neighbors.  Police located Barb and the male subject a short distance away and later filed charges.  Barb was arrested and taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was held on $4000 bond.  She was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await her next court appearance.

Stephanie Renee Barb, age:  28, Meyersdale, PA

Charges:  Indecent Exposure X3 and Disorderly Conduct

Warrant Arrest

On March 17, 2017 the Cumberland Police served two Bench Warrants for Failure to Appear on Jacqueline Ann Kyle.  The warrants were for failure to appear in court on June 9, 2015 and again on August 11, 2015.  It was also learned Kyle had a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for missing a court date in Frederick County on May 19, 2015.  Another warrant from Mineral County, West Virginia for Failure to Appear was also found for Kyle.  She was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center and held without bail pending her next court appearance.  The warrant from Frederick County, MD and Mineral County, WV were used as detainers for Kyle.

Jacqueline Ann Kyle, age:  55, Fort Ashby, WV

Charges:  Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear X2, 2 warrants for Failure to Appear from Frederick County and Mineral County used as detainers.
