Cumberland Police Make Several Arrests Tuesday

Warrant Arrest

On September 19, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on Jeremy David Saternos.  Saternos was taken to a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial in District Court.

Arrested: 

Jeremy David Saternos, age:  22, Eighty Four, PA

Charges:  Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear

Violation of Court Order Arrest

On September 19, 2017 at approximately 2:18 PM Cumberland Police officers observed a male and female walking in the area of Williams Street and Winifred Road.  The officer recognized and was able to confirm there was an active protective order against the male, Jordan Calvin Preston.  The order prevents Preston from having contact with the female he was with.  Preston was arrested and taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center pending his next appearance in District Court.

Charges:  Violate Exparte/Protective Order

Theft Arrest

On September 19, 2017 at approximately 2:20 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a business in the 700 block of Park Street for a shoplifting complaint.  After collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, police learned Mitchell Gaston Reid had taken several items from the store without paying for them.  He was located at a nearby residence and issued a criminal citation for Theft Under $100 and released pending trial in District Court.

Mitchell Gaston Reid, age:  35, Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Theft Under $100
