The Cumberland Police Department has issued the following statement:
"The men and women of the Cumberland Police Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many citizens who have reached out and offered their support to the officers of the department during these trying times in our country. The support we have received is greatly appreciated, as we continue to strive to provide the very best possible police services we can to the citizens we serve. As law enforcement professionals, we realize without the partnership of our citizens, the community would suffer; as it is impossible to fight crime alone."
