Cumberland Police Serve Domestic Summons, Make Shoplifting Arrest

SUMMONS SERVICE

On Saturday September 12, 2015, Cumberland City Police served a criminal summons on Jerry Perkins, age 68 of Cumberland. The summons was issued as a result of a September 8th, 2015 where officers responded to a residence on Boone Street and conducted an investigation that revealed that Perkins was found to be in violation of a court issued Peace Order. Perkins was not present at the time officers arrived. He was served and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE: Peace Order-Fail to Comply.

THEFT

On Saturday September 12, 2015, at 5:32 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a business on Virginia Avenue for a reported Theft. Investigation into this matter revealed that Gabrielle Carr, age 20 was observed taking store owned items and placing them in the pockets of her clothes. Carr was criminally cited and released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.

CHARGE: Theft less than $100.00 dollars.
