Cumberland Police Serve Summons & Make Assault Arrest

On May 30, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a criminal summons on Todd Jones for Theft Less than $100.  The charges were filed by a private citizen for an incident that occurred on April 29, 2017.  Jones was issued the summons and released pending trial in District Court.

Todd Jones, age:  38, Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Theft Less Than $100

Assault Arrest

On 05/30/17 at approximately 9:25 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a residence on Market Street for a disturbance.  When police arrived they learned Wesley Scott Tingler and an adult female had been involved in an argument that turned physical.  Minor injuries were observed to the female victim and Tingler was placed under arrest for 2nd Degree Assault.  The victim did not require medical treatment.  Tingler was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his personal recognizance.
