WARRANT SERVICE
Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Virgil Webb, age 33 of Cumberland. On November 30, 2016, at 12:23 am officers responded to a private residence in the 100 block of Altamont Terrace where it was reported destroying items inside the residence. Officers located Webb in the upstairs bedroom. As officers approached the bedroom, Webb lunged towards the officers. Webb had a folding knife in his hand and threw it at one of the officers. The knife struck the wall as Webb was restrained without further incident. He was processed, served and transported to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office and was held on a $7,500.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

CHARGES: Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment.
WARRANT SERVICE
On Wednesday December 7, 2016 Cumberland City Police served a bench warrant on Crystal Fauver, age 26 of Cross Junction, West Virginia. The warrant was issued as a result for violation of probation for a previous Theft arrest. Fauver was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing. She was held on a $5,000.00 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
WARRANT SERVICE
On Wednesday December 7, 2016, Cumberland City Police served two bench warrants on Gordon Whitfield, age 26 of Lonaconing, Maryland. The warrants were issued for violation of probation from previous arrests for Affray and Assault 2nd Degree.
Whitfield was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s office and was held on a $10,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
ASSAULT ARREST
On December 7, 2016, at 6:36 pm Cumberland City Police responded a business on Park Street for an assault inside the store. Investigation into this matter revealed that Chantee Carey, age 28 of Cumberland, was observed knocking over items off the shelves. An employee attempted to stop Carey and was assaulted by Carey in the process. Carey left the business and was located by officers on Park Street. She was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where she was processed and served. Carey was held on a temporary commitment at the Allegany County Detention Center.
