Cumberland Police Serve Arrest Warrant & Make Assault Arrest

Officers from the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Curt Christopher Hauser in connection with an August 23, 2017 burglary investigation. Officers responded to a Furnace Street residence at approximately 0624 hours where they made contact with a female victim. Upon speaking with her officers observed injuries to the victim. She stated that Hauser forced his way into the residence and assaulted her. The injuries did not require any medical treatment. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate Hauser and applied for charges. Upon his arrest he was processed and taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.

Charges: 3rd & 4th Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace

 

At approximately 1341 hours officers responded to a Pulaski Street residence for a report of a domestic assault. When officers arrived they spoke with several subjects involved in a disturbance. During the investigation officers observed injuries to a victim. Upon speaking with all subjects involved officers determined the injuries to the victim were caused by Jamar Cordelle Peck. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. Peck was later taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released pending trial in District Court.
