Cumberland Woman Arrested After Disturbance At WMRMC

On November 7th, 2019, The Cumberland City Police Department responded to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted a male subject who advised he had gotten into an argument with a female, identified as Alexandra Gabrielle Abbott, 28, of Cumberland MD. He advised officers they had been arguing over property in which Abbott would not return to him. At this time, Abbott was not on scene. It was then learned that Abbott had an active arrest warrant through Lancaster PA for violation of probation. Abbott was able to be located a short time later and placed under arrest. At the time of her arrest, Abbott was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine and associated CDS paraphernalia. Abbott was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.

Charges:  Fugitive From Justice, CDS Poss. Not Marijuana, CDS Poss. Paraphernalia.
