On Monday at approximately 3:39 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a Queen City Drive business in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Upon the arrival of the officer he made contact with the complaint. The officer later made contact with the suspect who was identified as Amanda Lynn Phillips. The officers located stolen property on Phillips’ person. Phillips was taken into custody without incident. Phillips was issued a criminal citation and processed before being released from custody pending trial in District Court. The stolen property was returned to the business.
