Allegany County States Attorney Michael Twigg along with Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, announced on Wednesday Belinda Diane Ravenscroft, Cumberland, pled guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine in the Circuit Court for Allegany County. The Honorable Jeffrey S. Getty, Circuit Court Judge for Allegany County, sentenced Ravenscroft to five years’ incarceration. With a portion of the term suspended, Ravenscroft will serve one year and one day in the Maryland Department of Corrections. Upon Ravenscroft’s release, she will serve three years supervised probation. The case was the result of an investigation, conducted by members of the Allegany County Narcotics Unit, into the distribution of heroin and cocaine (crack). During the investigation, Detectives executed a search and seizure warrant in the 100 block of South Street, Cumberland in September, 2016. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of cocaine (crack) in sufficient quantity to indicate sales and distribution. The State was represented by Assistant State’s Attorney Samuel J. Lane. The defendant was represented by Michael Stankan, Esq.
