With the future of the new Allegany High School project very much unsettled at this point- the current school may have to remain functioning for a few more years. The original plan targeted a fall of 2017 opening for the new school, but with the recent funding complications that have arisen leading to a possible re-bid- that date is no longer considered a reality. Facilities Director Vince Montana was asked about the condition of the existing Allegany during this month’s work session of the board of education- specifically about how long it is safe for kids to go there.
