One man was injured and another arrested Tuesday following a stabbing that occurred at a residential treatment center near Capon Bridge, according to the Hampshire County Sheriff's Office.

Eddie Cherry, 45, of Washington was quickly arrested by Hampshire Sheriff John Alkire and Cpl. Stuart Davis — the first-arriving officers at the scene — following the 12:18 p.m. incident at So Others May Eat Inc. on Petrie Drive. The Cumberland Times News reports Cherry was charged with malicious wounding before being taken to the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail, where he remained Wednesday in lieu of $15,000 full cash bond set by a Hampshire County magistrate.

The victim was stabbed at the back of his left shoulder and provided immediate assistance by an on-site nurse. His injuries apparently were not life threatening in nature, police said. He was transported to Winchester Medical Center by Augusta Volunteer Rescue Squad.
