The Cumberland Times News reports that while D'Atri Subs, 442 Columbia Street, prepares a couple hundred subs and hoagies every day, but on Friday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day, that will increase by several hundred when free sandwiches will be available to veterans.
"We gave away 663 a year ago on Veterans Day," owner Mike D'Atri said on Wednesday.
The business (DatriSubs.com), which opened in 1970, has been honoring veterans with cheese steak subs and Italian hoagies since 2008. Steak subs and ham hoagies will also be available.
