About two dozen people gathered on the second floor of the Allegany Arts Council building Thursday night to discuss and develop strategies to tackle the various issues associated with parking in the downtown area. After some brief opening comments by Downtown Development Commission Chair Sandi Saville, those in attendance broke off into work groups to identify what they believe the problems area are and to develop potential solutions. Those in attendance included business and property owners, elected officials, downtown residents and members of the public at large. Saville talked with WCBC News during the workshop and said the actual, real problems- if any- have to be identified before any solutions can be implemented:
