Deadline For Health Insurance Enrollment Expected To Be Extended

Dr. Peter Beilenson, the CEO of Evergreen Health Co-op which sells insurance plans on the Maryland Health Exchange thinks the President will push back the enrollment deadline for getting health insurance.  Under the Affordable Care Act, Americans must have health insurance by March 31, 2014 or they will have to pay a fine—the so called “individual mandate.”  Beilenson says the state probably has the power to extend the deadline, but the President will likely be the one to make the decision…
