Deputies Investigating Brice Hollow Road Accident

On Friday October 22nd at just before 1:00 AM, Deputies of The Allegany County Sheriff's Office responded to Brice Hollow Road in Oldtown for a reported vehicle crash with entrapment. 

Upon deputies arrival to the scene along with District 16 Fire and EMS, the operator had self extricated from the vehicle. 
 
The operator was identified as 21 year old Calvin Kniseley of Oldtown. 
 
It was learned that Kniseley was operating a 1991 Ford truck on Brice Hollow road when he lost control of the vehicle and it overturned, temporarily trapping him inside. 
 
Kniseley was transported to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment of apparent non life-threatening injuries. 
 
Brice Hollow Road was closed for a short time.
 
Alcohol and speed are believed to have played a factor in the crash. 
 
Charges are pending.
