Diane Warner Passes

September 8th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Diane Trowbridge Warner, 66, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends while receiving palliative care, taking her final breath in the early morning.

Diane was born in Tokyo, Japan on November 21, 1952. Daughter of Raymond Trowbridge, and Nina and Thomas Nelson. She was a Registered Nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital, and later retired from Sacred Heart Cancer Care Center.

On June 8, 1985, she married James George Warner of Cumberland, MD, owner of Warner’s Hearth & Patio. She was widowed on May 4, 2002, and remained his devoted wife until their heavenly reunion. She is survived by four daughters: Michele Keller, Jenna Jewell and husband Chapin, Elizabeth Keller and fiancé Dwayne Williams, and Ashley Bright and husband Christopher.

Diane lived life enjoying simple pleasures such as dining out, caring for her pets, and vacationing with family. She was an avid reader and in recent years appreciated life in the time of WiFi and binge watching TV. Perhaps her greatest enjoyment came from her grandchildren. Known as “Nana” to them, Jake, Carson, Ava, Lincoln, Davis, Connor, Landry, Bennett, and Anders were lucky to have such a generous, caring, and invested Nana.

She had a fierce sense of humor, quick wit, and made life a bit more colorful – laughter was synonymous with her company. She once said, “Surround yourself with people who make you snort in laughter, and if milk comes out of your nose, never let them go.”

Per her wishes, an intimate memorial service will be held at a later date, where some of her favorite Oxford House dishes will be served in her honor.
