Disagreement Over Money For Drugs Lands Two In Jail

On June 18, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the area of Baltimore Street and Queen City Drive for a reported assault. Upon the officers arrival they located two males involved in an altercation. One male was bleeding as a result of the assault and had a head injury. Officers were advised by the subject that he was struck over the head with a wooden fence post. Officers learned that the altercation started after there was a disagreement over money for drugs. As a result of this incident both subjects were arrested. The first male suspect was identified as, Roger Cecil Darr and the second suspect was identified as, Carl Nelson Bohrer. Both subjects were transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. They were processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Bohrer was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $5,000 bond. Darr was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.

Arrested: Carl Nelson Bohrer Age: 43 of Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: 2nd Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Affray.

 

Arrested: Roger Cecil Darr Age: 36 of Cumberland, Maryland

Charges: 2nd Degree Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Affray.
