Disturbance at local tavern

On 09/29/12 Officers responded to a disturbance call from a tavern in the 500 block of N. Centre Street.  Upon arrival the Officers contacted Amy Jean Crawford, 38 yoa, and asked her to step outside.  The caller stated she was causing a disturbance inside the bar.  After being told to leave the area Crawford refused.  She was again told to leave the area and at that point reached into her pocket and pulled a foldable knife and attempted to stab an Officer.  Officers were able to disarm Crawford and assist her to the ground.  As a result of the incident Crawford was placed under arrest and transported to PH.  She was taken before a District Court Commissioner and was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.

Charges:

First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault (2 counts), Second Degree Assault on a Police Officer, Reckless Endangerment, Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey an Officer and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
