DNR Will Study Industrial Dam on Potomac

The City of Cumberland will provide $8,000 so the Maryland Department of Natural Resources can take and study core samples from an industrial dam on the Potomac River. Councilwoman Nicole Wagner voted in favor of the proposal:





The vote was 4 to 1, with Mayor Brian Grim opposing not because he opposed the sampling, but because he didn’t have a document to review defining the city’s commitment.
