On Monday night at 11:45 P.M. Tfc. Shrout responded to a Bowling Green Address for a Domestic Assault in progress. Upon arrival, Tfc, Shrout found a mother and her adult son, had been assaulted by Sean Patrick McElwee, 34, and fled the scene on foot. The female victim had been choked and struck multiple times in the face, which left bruises and swelling. Her son who attempted to stop McElwee from assaulting his mother had also been struck in the face, resulting in a swollen and bloody lip. McElwee was quickly located by the Allegany County Sherriff’s Department. McLwee was arrested by Tfc. Shrout, processed at the MSP BK C, taken to D.C. Commissioner and held at ACJ on $75,000 Bond.

On Wednesday April 4, 2012, at approximately 8:00 P.M., Cumberland police officers responded to a residence on Independence Street for a domestic assault. Investigation revealed that Angelo Lopez, age 48 of Cumberland had assaulted a family member and destroyed property during the incident. Lopez was placed in custody and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. Following a bond hearing at the District Court, Lopez was held on a 10,000.00 dollar bond at the Allegany County Detention Center. The victim in this incident sustained minor injuries and did not need medical attention.
