This weekend, in conjunction with the “Cumberland Goes to War” event- the indie film "Doughboy" will make its local debut with screenings at the Cumberland Theatre. Shot this past spring in Wheeling, "Doughboy" is a story of a troubled teenager whose family moves from New York City to a small, unnamed West Virginia town. While there, he's arrested for vandalizing a statue of an American World War I "doughboy" soldier. Sentenced to community service, he meets veterans and comes to better understand the cost of freedom.
