Downtown Job Center Holding First Major Job Fair of 2020

February 18th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County American Job Center will sponsor the county’s first major, multi-employer Job Fair of the year on Thursday, February 27, from 9am until noon at their office at 138 Baltimore Street. The Job Fair will feature businesses representing industries from food service and retail to warehousing and healthcare.  Private businesses, governmental institutions and non-profit agencies will all be represented to provide job opportunities, conduct employment screenings and detail application processes.  Associated services will also be available to share opportunities for healthcare, paid training and free legal services related to employment.

More than 30 businesses will be participating with full and part time positions available. Job seekers should be dressed professionally, bring copies of resumes and be prepared to tell employers why they are best qualified to meet the employers’ hiring needs.  The event is free and open to the public.
