Dr. Lever Feels Auditorium Should Have Ability To Accommodate Total Student Population

During the past few years the Allegany County Board of Education has worked toward putting together an affordable plan for the proposed new Allegany High School- attempting to balance cutting costs without compromising the academic program’s integrity. Some in the community view a 500 seat auditorium- with an estimated price tag alone between $5 and $5.5 million as unnecessary. Dr David Lever, executive director of Maryland’s Interagency Committee on School Construction, could not disagree more.
