Drug Arrest on Pear Street

On Saturday November 8, 2014, at 8:30 pm, a Cumberland City Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on Pear Street for an equipment violation.  Contact was made with the driver who was identified as Zachary Dillon, age 19 of Cumberland.  The officer elected to further investigate and summoned a K9 Officer to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle.  As a result, a positive alert was made by K9 “TIMO”.   A searched conducted resulted in the recovery of 108 grams of suspected marihuana along with a large amount of currency.  Dillon was placed in custody and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where he was processed and served.  He was later taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioners Office for a bond review.  Dillon was released on a $5,000.00 dollar unsecured bond.

CHARGES:  Possession of Marihuana.  Possession with intent to distribute Marihuana.  Possession of Marihuana paraphernalia.
