Drug Bust Confirmed At ACPS Career Center

After an inquiry by WCBC, the Allegany County Public School system released the following statement: 

Yesterday,Thursday, April 16, 2015, Career Center Principal, Candy Canan, received an annoymous tip regarding the potential possession of an illegal substance by a student entering the school campus.  Following school protocol, Mrs. Canan contacted the Maryland State Police K-9 Unit, which was utilized in all parking areas.  Two vehicles were identified by the K-9 as being potential carriers of an illegal substance, and upon search of these vehicles, illegal substances were discovered.  The drivers of the vehicles were charged with possession, and all students involved are being disciplined in accordance with the school system's policy on student discipline.
