Drug Raid Leads To Arrest of Connecticut Man In Frostburg

On Thursday, members of the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack, Maryland State Police S.T.A.T.E. Team and Cumberland City Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant in the 16000 block of National Hwy, Frostburg, MD.

 

The search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Allegany County Narcotics Task Force into the distribution and sales of fentanyl and crack cocaine in the Allegany County area. During the subsequent search, Allegany County Narcotics Task Force investigators located large amounts of fentanyl and crack cocaine packaged for resale.                                        

 

As a result, Gerald Jermaine Boyd, 23, of Hartford, CT was arrested. 

 

Boyd was charged with the following:

 

- CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST COCAINE

- CDS POSS W/INT TO DIST FENTANYL

- CDS: POSS-NOT MARIJUANA (2 COUNTS)

 

Following his initial appearance, Boyd was held without bond.  The investigation is ongoing.
