Late Friday into the early morning hours of Saturday, 1Troopers from the Maryland State Police Barrack in Cumberland conducted a DUI Saturation Patrol on MD Rt. 36 and MD Rt. 40 in and around the LaVale and Frostburg areas of Allegany County. As a result of the special patrol initiative, five Troopers stopped 37 vehicles and issued 12 citations and 37 warnings. The saturation patrol also resulted in 1 DUI arrest, 1 violation of protective order arrest, and one seized firearm .
