July 16th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The eastbound lanes of Interstate 68 were closed this morning as  crews worked to remove a tractor-trailer that rolled onto its side just before 4 a.m. Thursday at Exit 43A, commonly referred to as Moose Curve. All eastbound lanes were closed  in LaVale and motorists were requested to avoid  the area and utilize alternative routes for eastbound travel. Traffic is being rerouted at the U.S. Route 220 exit through the city- which caused a significant traffic tie up during the morning rush hour. Same old story. Excess speed, burned brakes and etc.
A few more of these and the State Troopers will again make an appearance. In 1 month they will proudly proclaim that the problem is fixed, again, until it starts again.
