Members of the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce’ Economic Development Committee told the county’s Economic Development Director this week that his department may not be focusing enough attention on attracting new business to the area. Director Matt Diaz presented an overview of the county’s economic development plan and basic strategy to the Committee. At that 90 minute session, several committee members expressed the belief that much more needs to be done in the area of soliciting new business for the county.
