A few months ago, a new economic development initiative launched by the chamber of commerce and Allegany County was announced- however the timeline is proving a point of frustration for some chamber members. At the time, Commissioner Mike McKay said the goal will be community interaction in promoting economic development throughout the county and encouraging local businesses to cooperate for the common benefits of furthering business growth and infrastructure. Months later, the joint committee has yet to have a formal meeting. That isn’t sitting well with some members of the Chamber’s Economic Development Committee.
