Economic Engine Award Winner Announced

The Allegany County Tourism/Trail Town program Certified Trail Friendly Program is the recipient of this year’s Economic Engine Award given by the Maryland Office of Tourism Development. The award recognizes programs that create jobs, provide positive economic impact to the region and are exemplary contributions to the state’s tourism industry. More than 280 tourism professionals from Maryland and surrounding states attended the 32nd annual Maryland Tourism and Travel Summit held in Cambridge and sponsored by the Maryland Tourism Council, the Office of Tourism Development and the Maryland Tourism Development Board.
