Although there were no “grandslams” in terms of economic development announcements for Allegany County during the past year- there were any number of singles and a steady effort overall in achieving a modicum of success. During the final meeting of 2011 conducted by the Allegany County Commissioners, Economic Development Director Matt Diaz and Commissioners President Mike McKay reflected on the past year. Diaz said that while there might not have been any significant splashes made- there were positive expansions and additions throughout the year.
