Edwards Meets with Hogan on Verso Closure

State Senator George Edwards met with Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and key department heads in Annapolis to discuss the planned closure of the Luke paper mill. Verso Corporation, with no advanced notice, announced via a web site statement Tuesday morning that the plant would close in June- eliminating 675 jobs in the community.     Cumberland needs to think future. The paper industry is slowly dieing. Cyber security is needed now. The state should retool those employees for cyber security and focus on a cyber security company tos locate out there.
