Now more than 60 years old, efforts are continuing in Annapolis to secure funding to construct a new Maryland State Police Barrack in LaVale. The first barrack was located at 800 National Highway and operated at that location until the present barrack was constructed in 1956 at 1125 National Highway. Plans to construct a new facility on the current site were first announced in 2015, and State Senator George Edwards reports that state funds have finally been allocated for planning and design….
