On Wednesday, 03/22/2017, the Cumberland Police arrested 25 year old Johnny Ray Enos Jr, of Cumberland, after a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
The charges stem from allegations that Enos had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with an underage female victim. The incident first came to law enforcement's attention when the victim's mother reported to the Cumberland Police that her 13 year old daughter had been receiving texts of a sexual nature from a 25 year old man.
The Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) was contacted to assist in the investigation. The investigation revealed that Enos had been texting the victim and had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with her.
As a result, Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Enos, charging him with 3rd Degree Sex Offense and Sexual Abuse of a Minor. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $30,000.00 bond, pending his next court appearance.
