The owner of the Rocky Gap Lodge and Resort updated the status of the upcoming casino this week. Tim Cope, president of Evitts Resort LLC, commented that the casino is scheduled to open in late May and a new meeting space will be completed by late fall. The casino will have 558 slot machines and 10 table games, down from what originally was agreed upon in gaming licensing. The casino is licensed to have up to 850 machines.
