Eyewitnesses are telling WCBC News of a high speed chase that began on Interstate 68 near Rocky Gap in the first part of the 1 PM hour, proceeded into Cumberland and then roared through town on Henderson Avenue, before heading west via the Narrows, then Route 36 toward Mount Savage.
A single vehicle was pursued by about a half dozen Maryland State Police vehicles.
State Police were occupied with the chase and unable to comment.
Allegany County 911 advises all subjects have been apprehended.
