A fundraiser for the Mineral County Purple Purse campaign will be held Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. at Piedmont American Legion Post 52. Admission is free. Food, drawings and raffles will be available to help the Family Crisis Center provide services to victims of domestic violence in Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy, Grant and Pendleton counties. Slick Rick and the Blaze 1 Band will perform at 3 p.m. The campaign is sponsored by Abel & Associates Allstate agency.
