Father’s Day pledge to halt domestic violence

June 16th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

Men from all walks of life in Allegany County are observing Father’s Day this year by signing a pledge to contribute to the end of domestic violence and sexual assault.

The Family Crisis Resource Center is providing the 2013 Father’s Day Pledge so that men can honor their legacy as loving husbands and partners and proud fathers, brothers, uncles, friends and mentors.

The center wants to recognize all men in the community who do not commit acts of violence or acts of sexual violence against their loved ones.

To take a stand against violence and publicly show what Allegany County men are about, residents may email fcrc@allconet.org the following sentence with their name inserted: I, (insert name), publicly pledge to stand against violence in my community and home. FCRC has permission to display my name for the purpose of this pledge in news sources, on FCRC’s website, in newsletters, and any event in which FCRC participates.
