On Saturday at approximately 9:00 PM the Cumberland City Police Department was dispatched to the 600 block of Greene Street for a domestic assault.
Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who had visible injuries. Officers contacted the suspect John Adam Snyder who was uncooperative with the investigation. Snyder was placed under arrest for the assault.
After arresting Snyder the victim advised officers that there were several firearms inside the residence. From previous investigations officers knew Mr. Snyder to be prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition. The firearms and ammunition were confiscated.
Snyder was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance.

Charges – Assault 2nd Degree, Obstructing and Hindering, Rifle Possession by Disqualified Person, Illegal Possession of Ammunition
