Firefighters Injured In Pine Avenue Blaze

The Cumberland Fire Department tells The Cumberland Times-News that two firefighters were injured while battling a blaze at 512 Pine Avenue yesterday evening.

The fire reportedly involved a two-story garage and storage building, and the injured were treated at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

One firefighter reportedly suffered burns, while the other was hurt when he fell during the operation.

The call came in at 6:40 PM, and the blaze was caused by a wood burner.  Firemen from Fort Ashby, Wiley Ford and New Creek assisted Cumberland Firefighters.
