First snow fall

October 23rd, 2013 by WCBC Radio

As much as a couple of inches of snow fell across parts of Western Maryland on Wednesday as cold air settles over the mid-Atlantic region. The chill prompted a freeze watch for points north and west of Baltimore. A light snow fell over the morning hours, but by midday transitioned to what Wisp Resort marketing director Lori Epp calls "underdeveloped snow, otherwise known as rain."  At Deep Creek Lake State Park, at least an inch fell, park officials said via Twitter.
