On 5-3-12 at approx. 0338 hours Troopers from the McHenry Barrack responded to a "model" home in 100 block of Hailee's Lane in the Red Bush subdivision in the McHenry area for a report of persons having broken into a residence. Upon the arrival of Troopers, several individuals fled the residence on foot into the surrounding woods. Further investigation revealed that the following individuals had entered the model home without permission of the owner and smoked suspected marihuana:
1. Nichole E. Tichinel, 19 YOA of Blooming Rose Road in Friendsville, MD 2. Cody. D. Humberson, 18 YOA of Beechwood Lane in Grantsville, MD 3. Zachary A. Merrill, 18 YOA of Meadow Lake Drive in Grantsville, MD 4. Jorge L. Vaello Marquez, 18 YOA of Laker Drive in McHenry, MD 5. Nicholas R. Owens, 21 YOA of North Ridge Road in McHenry, MD
All five suspects were charged with one count of Third Degree Burglary and Possession of Marihuana. Nicholas Owens was also charged with Resisting Arrest.
Owens was held at the Garrett County Detention Center on $30,000 bond. The other four suspects were held on $5,000 bond.
