Footer Building Stabilization Work Completed

Stabilization work on the Footer Dye Works building is essentially completed and members of the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority could not be happier with the outcome.  Inspection of the roof was done in September, which resulted in Canal Place addressing repairs to the building that needed to take place in order to stop water leaks and to secure entry to the building. Phase 2 of the stabilization consisted of roof repair, removal of the scaffolding and mortar repair. The work was made possible by way of state funding from Maryland’s Community Legacy Program and the Maryland Historical Trust.
