December 11th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Maryland officials announced $10 million in state tax credits that will fund nine historic restoration projects across Maryland- and the Footer Dye Works project heads the list. Governor Martin O’Malley said that the tax credit will infuse positive change and jobs to communities from Cumberland to Cambridge. Developer Michael Joy and partners who have the exclusive rights to arrange a development package for the Footer Dye Works applied for the state and federal tax credits that accompany the historic structure. Securing the  tax credits have been considered a critical part of the financial package to keep the Footer project moving forward.
